Ian Dobbs-Dixon is an Associate Professor at NYU Abu Dhabi, specializing in Physics. He holds a Bachelor's and PhD from the University of California, Santa Cruz. His research focuses on planetary interiors and atmospheric dynamics, with particular emphasis on elucidating roles influencing planetary evolution and shaping observable features. His expertise lies in numerical modeling, hydrodynamical, and radiative processes. Prior to joining NYU Abu Dhabi, he completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the Department of Astronomy at the University of Washington. His earlier academic experiences include undergraduate and doctoral studies in Astronomy and Astrophysics.
