Liyue Shen is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor. He received his B.E. degree in Electronic Engineering from Tsinghua University in 2016 and obtained his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University in 2022, where he was co-advised by Professors John Pauly and Lei Xing. Following his Ph.D., he was a postdoctoral research fellow in the Department of Biomedical Informatics at Harvard Medical School from 2022 to 2023. His research interests are focused on Biomedical AI, which intersects with machine learning, computer vision, signal and image processing, medical image analysis, and data science. Liyue is particularly dedicated to developing reliable AI/ML-driven computational methods to tackle real-world healthcare challenges, including personalized cancer treatment and precision medicine. He actively seeks self-motivated students to join his research group, particularly in the fields of signal and image processing, machine learning, and computer vision.
