Biography

Hanghui Chen is an Associate Professor at NYU Shanghai in the Department of Physics. He is a Global Network Associate Professor with substantial expertise in condensed matter physics. Prior to his appointment at NYU Shanghai, he was a post-doctoral fellow at Columbia University. He received his Ph.D. in Physics from Yale University in 2012 and holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Peking University, obtained in 2004. His research interests focus on the strongly correlated properties of quantum materials, particularly emphasizing unconventional superconductivity. He employs advanced many-body model calculations to combine state-of-the-art principles in his studies. Chen has authored numerous publications in reputable scientific journals, contributing significantly to the understanding of electronic structures and superconducting properties within complex materials.
