Bing Qi is an Associate Professor of Physics at NYU Shanghai. He previously held positions as a Senior Researcher in the Quantum Research Team at Cisco Systems and as a Senior Research Scientist at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Additionally, he served as a Joint Faculty Associate Professor in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Bing received his PhD in Applied Optics from Dalian University of Technology in 1996. Between 1996 and 2013, he held various research positions at Tsinghua University, Virginia Tech, and the University of Toronto. His research interests strongly focus on quantum cryptography, quantum communications and networking, and optical sensing.
