Sarath Sanga is a Professor at Yale Law School and Co-Director of the Yale Law School Center for the Study of Corporate Law. He teaches courses in Contracts, Corporate Law, Law and Economics at Yale College. His research focuses on the governance of organizations, particularly in the areas of contracts and the design of corporate structures. He also studies the selection of governing laws in corporate contracts and has documented the impact of state laws, such as those in Delaware and New York, on corporate power dynamics. In addition to corporate law, he has explored broader legal issues, including the effects of COVID-19 on domestic violence and police interactions. Sanga is also a co-founder of SCALES, a project aimed at making federal court records accessible using AI and natural language processing to combat barriers to public access in the legal system.
