Torey Dolan is an Assistant Professor of Law at the University of Wisconsin Law School. Her scholarship focuses on Tribal Nations, Democracy, American Indian self-determination, and the intersections of Federal Indian Law and Election Law. She has co-authored pieces published in reputable journals, including the Boston University Law Review and the Harvard Civil Rights-Civil Liberties Law Review, addressing significant topics such as Indian Citizenship and voting access in Indian Country. Prior to her current position, Dolan was a William H. Hastie Fellow and served as a Native Vote Fellow at the Arizona State University Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law Indian Legal Clinic, where she led the Arizona Native Vote Election Protection Project during the 2020 and 2022 election cycles. She has assisted in litigation matters related to Tribal sovereignty and the Voting Rights Act in various courts, including the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and the Federal District Court of Arizona. Dolan holds a J.D. with a certificate in Federal Indian Law from the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law and a B.A. from the University of California at Davis. She is an enrolled citizen of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma.
