Andrew Medford is an Associate Professor and J. Frank Scarborough Faculty Fellow at the School of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology. His research focuses on leveraging materials informatics and machine learning techniques to enhance the practical impact of atomic-scale simulations in the fields of surface science and catalysis. His work investigates heterogeneous catalysis and oxide surface chemistry, utilizing advanced methods such as density functional theory, developing kinetic models, and conducting uncertainty quantification.
