Biography

Xin Guo, PhD is a professor at the University of the Pacific specializing in pharmaceutics and medicinal chemistry. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Medicinal Chemistry from Fudan University in Shanghai, China in 1993, followed by a Master of Science from Duquesne University in 1995, and a PhD in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from the University of California, San Francisco in 2001. His teaching interests focus on inspiring students to engage actively with their learning, and he mentors pre-pharmacy students. His research emphasizes drug delivery systems using nanotechnology, particularly focusing on designing pH-sensitive liposomes and developing formulations that enhance the delivery of anticancer drugs. Dr. Guo has significant scholarly activity, including published works on drug delivery systems and nanometer assemblies aimed at improving therapeutic efficacy while minimizing side effects. He actively collaborates with students and other researchers to further advancements in the field.
