Roshanak Rahimian holds a Doctor of Pharmacy from Tehran University of Medical Sciences (1988), a Master of Science in Pharmacology from the University of Ottawa (1995), and a PhD in Pharmacology from the University of British Columbia (1998). With a strong passion for teaching, Dr. Rahimian emphasizes the importance of understanding fundamental concepts and critical thinking in her pedagogical approach. She has been with the University of the Pacific since 2001 after completing a post-doctoral fellowship at the Canadian Institute of Health Research. Her research focuses on cardiovascular and endocrine physiology, specifically the impacts of diabetes on cardiovascular health among different genders. Dr. Rahimian has contributed to various academic societies and served as an ad hoc reviewer for reputable organizations. Her teaching interests encompass courses related to physiology and clinical science, reflecting her expertise in pharmacology and related health sciences.
