Dr. Jessica Soto is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at the Warren Alpert School of Medicine at Brown University. She specializes in adult, child and adolescent, and forensic psychiatry. After completing her adult psychiatry residency at Yale University, she moved to Rhode Island where she completed fellowships in child and adolescent psychiatry as well as forensic psychiatry. Dr. Soto divides her time between clinical practice and forensic evaluations, working as a treating psychiatrist at Harmony Hill School, which provides treatment for boys aged 8-18 at a residential treatment level of care. Additionally, she is involved in clinical practice at the Outpatient Forensic Clinic of the Rhode Island Department of Behavioral Health, Developmental Disabilities, and Hospitals, where she provides clinical support and conducts forensic evaluations. Her teaching and research interests are focused on the treatment of aggression, addressing serious persistent mental illness, and exploring the intersection of legal and mental health systems.
