Biography

Jennifer Welch is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics with a specialization in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at Brown University. She completed her residency in Pediatrics from Hasbro Children's Hospital and subsequently pursued a fellowship in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology. As the Medical Director of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology clinical research, Dr. Welch serves as the lead clinician for pediatric leukemia and lymphoma cases. Her research focuses on collaborations with international cooperative groups to improve treatment outcomes for childhood cancer, including associations with the Children's Oncology Group and regional survivorship consortia. She has received multiple honors, including an early-career professional development seminar participation from the Association of American Medical Colleges. Dr. Welch also plays a key role in medical education, directing the Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Fellowship and supervising medical students and residents in various teaching capacities. Her interests encompass Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma, and pediatric psycho-social oncology. She is recognized for her commitment to advancing pediatric healthcare through both clinical practice and research.
