Biography

Edward L. Rogan, PharmD, BCACP, FCPhA has a solid academic background with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Illinois and a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Iowa. He joined the faculty at the University of the Pacific in 2014, bringing extensive experience in pharmacy practice, including managing an independent pharmacy and supervising students in the Advance Pharmacy Practice Experience program. He was awarded the Stockton Region Preceptor of the Year in 2006 for his contributions to student rotations. Rogan's teaching philosophy emphasizes active learning and practical applications of pharmacy knowledge. He aims to help students appreciate the pharmacy profession's breadth while fostering critical thinking skills. His research interests focus on exploring innovative teaching methods and enhancing patient communication in pharmacy practice, particularly concerning Medicare Part D. Outside of academia, he is actively involved in the California Pharmacists Association and enjoys playing guitar and creating art through pastels and oil painting.
