Biography

Samuel J. Tate, M.D. is a specialist in Emergency Medicine practicing at UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, California. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Biology from UC Davis in 2007 and continued his medical education at the UC Davis School of Medicine, graduating in 2013. Following this, he completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at UC Davis from 2013 to 2016 and then pursued a fellowship in Emergency Medicine Ultrasound at UC Davis Medical Center from 2016 to 2017. He has been recognized with several awards including the Teacher Year Award from the MetroHealth/Cleveland Clinic Emergency Medicine Residency Program (2018-2019), the Resident MVP Award from the UC Davis Emergency Medicine Residency Program (2016), and the Outstanding Teaching Award from the UC Davis School of Medicine (2015). His research interests include ultrasound-guided procedures and renal evaluations, and he has contributed significantly to the field through various publications focused on these topics. Dr. Tate is dedicated to advancing the practice of emergency medicine and educating future physicians.
