Biography

Patricia Hennessey is a Lecturer at Columbia Law School and a partner at Aronson Mayefsky & Sloan LLP, where she handles a wide range of matrimonial litigation matters including negotiation, divorce, property distribution, child custody, and support pertaining to premarital and postmarital agreements. She has co-authored significant publications in the field of matrimonial law, including 'Is Law Male?' published in the Chicago Kent Law Review in 1994, and 'Valuation of Property in Marital Dissolution' featured in the 23rd volume of the ABA Family Law Quarterly. Hennessey's academic journey includes earning a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from New York University School of Law in 1979, where she was recognized as an Arthur Garfield Hays Civil Liberty Fellow and a Root Tilden Scholar. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree from Hampshire College, obtained in 1976.
