Biography

Joseph Oakes is an Associate Teaching Professor at Penn State Abington, specializing in Cybersecurity Analytics Operations, Computer Science, and Information Technology. With a Master of Science in Software Engineering and Information Science, he is dedicated to educating students in various courses, including Networking Telecommunications, Web Programming, and Human Computer Interaction. He has received numerous awards for his contributions to teaching and mentoring, including the Penn State Abington Outstanding Teaching Award and the Undergraduate Program Leadership Award. Oakes is also recognized for his establishment of the Joseph Oakes IST Alumni Endowment and has been nominated for several prestigious awards.
