Dr. Qiang Duan

Biography

Dr. Duan is a Professor in the Department of Information Sciences Technology at Pennsylvania State University Abington College. He joined Penn State University in 2008 after serving as an Assistant Professor in Computer Science at the University of Central Arkansas. His general research interests encompass computer networking, distributed systems, and artificial intelligence, with recent endeavors focused on cloud-native networking, network-edge-cloud convergence, federated split learning, ubiquitous intelligence in 6G networks, and generative AI for the future Internet. Dr. Duan has authored four monographs and six book chapters, alongside over 120 refereed journal articles and conference papers. He has served on editorial boards as an editor or associate editor for multiple research journals and has been actively involved in organizing numerous international conferences as a TPC member and track/session chair. Dr. Duan is a Senior Member of the IEEE.
