Hyunghoon (Hoon) Cho is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biomedical Informatics & Data Science at Yale School of Medicine. He holds a PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, completed in 2019, and has a Master’s degree from Stanford University in Computer Science obtained in 2013. He also completed a Bachelor’s degree with honors in a related field. His current research interests include Biomedical Informatics, Data Science, and aspects of Computer Science that interplay with those fields. Hoon is actively involved in teaching and mentoring students at Yale, working closely with postdoctoral researchers and graduate students in his lab. He has a notable record of research output with over 30 publications and significant citations. In addition, Hoon has established a lab website where he shares information regarding his research initiatives and lab activities. He aims to contribute to advancements in human genome sciences and data-driven health research.
