Nicholas Levy is a Lecturer in Law at Columbia Law School and a partner at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton with offices in London and Brussels. He has extensive experience in EU and UK antitrust law, particularly in notifying mergers and joint ventures under the EU Merger Regulation and UK Enterprise Act. Over the past 30 years, Levy has been involved in numerous matters before the European Commission, the UK Competition & Markets Authority, and has appeared in EU courts in Luxembourg and the UK Competition Appeal Tribunal. Recognized consistently by Chambers as one of the leading antitrust lawyers in Europe, he has been a finalist for the Global Competition Review’s “Lawyer of the Year Award” multiple times. Levy authored the two-volume treatise on European Merger Regulation and has published widely on competition law. He is also a frequent speaker at conferences and has taught courses at various prestigious institutions, including King’s College London and the University of Oxford. In 2022, he launched the Antitrust Review podcast to interview leading figures in the world of antitrust. Levy graduated from Oxford University and the City University of London.
