Aliya Korganbekova is an Assistant Professor of Business Administration at Harvard Business School, where she specializes in the Accounting Management Unit. She teaches the Financial Reporting and Control course as part of the MBA required curriculum. Her research focuses on accounting disclosure regulation with an emphasis on sustainability and artificial intelligence. Professor Korganbekova's work explores the real spillover effects arising from state-level greenhouse gas reduction regulations. She holds a Ph.D. in Accounting from Boston University, an M.A. in Economics from Central European University, and a B.A. in Economics from Lomonosov Moscow State University. Prior to pursuing her Ph.D., she worked as an auditor at KPMG.
