Biography

Audrey Fotouhi earned her medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine and completed a transitional year at St. Mary Mercy Hospital in Livonia, Michigan. She completed her dermatology residency at Wayne State University, where she was recognized as Chief Resident for her excellence in patient care, education, and clinical leadership. Dr. Fotouhi’s clinical interests encompass women's health dermatology, including vulvar dermatoses, pregnancy and lactation care, gender-diverse care, acne, and hirsutism. She has established the Gynecology-Dermatology Subspecialty Clinic at the University of Chicago to improve access for patients with vulvar skin conditions. Actively engaged in education and research through the University of Chicago’s Trans CARE program in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, her academic focus includes inflammatory and infectious vulvar dermatoses, aiming to enhance dermatologic care for gender-diverse patients. Dr. Fotouhi’s work includes numerous peer-reviewed publications and invited lectures on medical vulvar dermatology. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and an active member of various dermatological associations.
