Dr. Paul Bourgade

Professor

Biography

Paul Bourgade is a Professor in the Department of Mathematics at New York University. His research primarily focuses on probability theory, particularly random matrices and stochastic analysis. Bourgade is deeply interested in the connections between various domains of mathematics, including partial differential equations and analytic number theory. His current research emphasizes the study of random matrix universality classes and their implications in complex statistical physics. He has published several works in prestigious journals, contributing to the understanding of local circular laws of random matrices, strong Szegő asymptotics, and universality in general beta ensembles. Bourgade holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics from Université Paris 6, France, which he completed in 2009, along with multiple degrees in related fields from top French institutions.
