Travor C. Brown is a Professor in the Faculty of Business Administration at Memorial University of Newfoundland, specializing in Labour Relations and Human Resource Management. He has authored 30 peer-reviewed journal articles and delivered 70 conference presentations. Travor has been granted national Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council Canada (SSHRC) funding as the sole investigator. His research primarily focuses on issues such as goal setting and training effectiveness, with a special emphasis on management leadership development. Prior to his tenure at Memorial University, he served as the Associate Dean (Research) and Director of the Master of Employment Relations program. Travor is a recognized expert in his field and has served on the provincial roster of arbitrators from 2018 to 2024. His extensive background in both academia and industry allows him to engage effectively with both academic and practitioner audiences, demonstrating the real-world implications of his research. Travor completed his PhD at the University of Toronto and has had significant industry experience in telecommunications and manufacturing sectors.
