Biography

Susan Bardo is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Law at Penn State Dickinson Law, where she directs the Family Law Clinic. The clinic provides representation to clients who have suffered domestic violence and addresses a variety of family law cases. Before becoming the director, Bardo served as a staff attorney for several years at the Family Law Clinic. Prior to her tenure at Penn State, she had a twelve-year private practice in Centre County, routinely litigating cases throughout Central Pennsylvania. Her work primarily focused on family law, real property, and wills and estates. Bardo is a noted advocate for community service and has held positions on local commissions, including the Centre County Bar Association Board of Governors. She is also a current board member of MidPenn Legal Services and was honored with the 2024 MidPenn Donald F. Smith, Jr., Pro Bono Award for her years of support of MidPenn's initiatives through her work at the Penn State Dickinson Law Family Law Clinic.
