Joanna Goodey-Pellois is an Instructional Professor and the Associate Dean for Faculty Success at Texas A&M University, within the College of Arts and Sciences. Her primary focus is on faculty development and evaluation, where she chairs committees related to faculty affairs. In the Department of Chemistry, she has held roles as the Director of the Year Program in Chemistry and as Associate Graduate Advisor. Since joining Texas A&M in 2006, she has taught general chemistry to over 12,000 freshmen, earning recognition for her teaching excellence through multiple awards, including the AFS Distinguished Achievement Award in Teaching and the Provost's APT Faculty Teaching Excellence Award. Dr. Goodey-Pellois also collaborated with the Center for Teaching Excellence on faculty development initiatives aimed at enhancing active learning and differentiated instruction. Furthermore, she has secured research funding from the National Science Foundation for educational projects in collaboration with colleagues across various departments.
