C. Alan Rotz is an Agricultural Engineer with the USDA Agricultural Research Service's Pasture Systems and Watershed Management Research Unit since 1997. He has extensive experience in developing and applying models to evaluate alternative technologies and management strategies for integrated farming systems, focusing on dairy and beef production. His role involves significant contributions toward ensuring sustainable practices in agriculture. He has also served as an adjunct professor at both Pennsylvania State University and Michigan State University while working on various research projects aimed at improving agricultural practices. He holds multiple degrees from Pennsylvania State University, including a Ph.D. in Agricultural Engineering. Over the course of his career, Dr. Rotz has been involved in several research initiatives, ultimately contributing to advancements in farming technologies and efficiency across different systems.
