Michael S. Solender is a lecturer at Columbia Law School and serves as the Global Vice Chair and General Counsel at EY, formerly known as Ernst & Young. His extensive career includes roles as General Counsel and Senior Managing Director at Bear Stearns Companies Inc. from 2004 to 2008. Prior to that, he was a partner at Arnold & Porter and served as General Counsel for the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, where he received the Chairman's Award for distinguished service. Solender has also taught adjunct courses at both Yale Law School and Harvard Law School, demonstrating his commitment to legal education. He holds a Juris Doctor degree from Yale Law School and a Bachelor of Arts from Columbia University.
