Jenny McPhee is a Lecturer in Creative Writing at the Lewis Center for the Arts at Princeton University. She is an accomplished author known for her works including 'Center of Things', 'Ordinary Matter', and 'Man Moon', as well as the co-authored 'Girls: Ordinary Girls Extraordinary Pursuits'. Her essays and stories have appeared in prestigious publications such as The New Yorker, Bookforum, The Washington Post, Harper’s Bazaar, Glimmer Train, and Zoetrope. McPhee has received acclaim for her award-winning translations of various Italian authors, including Anna Banti and Primo Levi. In addition to her writing, McPhee is a co-founder and board member of the Bronx Academy of Letters, a public high school in New York City. She has been recognized with prestigious awards, including the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Fellowship and the American Academy of Arts and Letters Award in Literature. McPhee continues to engage students through her courses in literary translation and fiction writing.
