Biography

Man Wai Ng is an Associate Professor at Harvard School of Dental Medicine. He serves as the chief of the Department of Dentistry at Boston Children’s Hospital and previously held the same position at the Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C. Ng is also the director of the Residency Program in Pediatric Dentistry. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook and a Master of Public Health (MPH) from the Harvard School of Public Health. Ng completed his residency training in pediatric dentistry at Boston Children’s Hospital. He has served as a member of the HRSA Advisory Committee on Primary Care Medicine and Dentistry, focusing on Title VII programs, and has been a consultant for the Food and Drug Administration. Additionally, he is a consultant for the Commission on Dental Accreditation and the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Ng is a member of the editorial board for the journal Pediatric Dentistry, which is published by the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. His research interests include public health, public policy, and advocacy aimed at improving oral health for children, particularly in underserved populations. Ng's work focuses on preventing and managing early childhood caries and enhancing education and training for medical and dental providers in oral health.
