Biography

Aletha Stahl, PhD in Comparative Literature from the University of Iowa, currently serves as a Visiting Assistant Professor at the College of Liberal Arts at Purdue University. She brings a wealth of experience from her previous role as Lead Intercultural Learning Specialist at Purdue, where she designed curricula and managed professional development programs for faculty and staff. With over a decade in the Department of Languages and Cultures at Earlham College, she has taught a variety of French courses and developed international study programs in Martinique, Haiti, and Montreal. Stahl’s research interests focus on language and literature in the French Caribbean, and she also has experience advising students on their academic senior capstone projects. At Purdue, she teaches courses in French and Comparative Literature as part of the School of Languages and Cultures' Cornerstone program.
