Biography

Vijay Kumar Ramaiah is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology at Duke University. His clinical interests encompass neuro-anesthesiology, head and neck anesthesia, as well as the management of difficult airways and advanced airway techniques. He has a strong research focus on apneic oxygenation, high flow nasal oxygenation, transcutaneous carbon dioxide measurements, and innovations in laryngeal surgery, alongside investigations into methadone analgesia and its effects during neurosurgical procedures. With extensive training in anesthesiology, Dr. Ramaiah completed his residency at the University of Rochester, alongside fellowships in ENT Anesthesia at Stanford University and Neuroanesthesiology at the University of Washington, advancing his expertise in his fields of interest.
