Dr. Nathan Vo is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Studies at Wilfrid Laurier University. He obtained his PhD in Biology from the University of Waterloo, where he received the W.B. Pearson Medal for creative doctoral research. Vo's academic journey includes significant scientific research experiences at McMaster University and the University of Windsor. His interdisciplinary research primarily focuses on Cell Biology, Virology, Immunology, and Radiation Biology. He has conducted community-based research on COVID-19 antibody immunity, resulting in a peer-reviewed publication. As an Associate Editor for the journal Vitro Cellular and Developmental Biology - Animal, Vo also participates on various editorial boards, enhancing the field of comparative immunology. Dr. Vo has been recognized with the 2025 Early Career Award by the Society for In Vitro Biology for his contributions to advancing technologies in the field. His teaching encompasses courses in Applied Health Sciences and Physical Forensics, emphasizing research methodologies at cellular and molecular levels. Vo also supports student research through directed studies and thesis courses, encouraging students to engage in lab work and literature-based inquiry.
