Dr. Wei Wu

Associate Professor

Biography

Wei Wu is an Associate Professor of Mathematics and the PhD Coordinator at NYU Shanghai. Prior to joining NYU Shanghai, he held academic positions at the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences at New York University and the University of Warwick. His research focuses on probability, mathematical physics, and partial differential equations, particularly in the study of Gibbs random fields, spin models, phase transitions, and homogenization. Wu's work has contributed to understanding critical phenomena and the properties of various stochastic processes. He has published extensively in leading mathematics journals, highlighting topics such as the tightness of Ginzburg-Landau fields and loop-erased random walks. Through his research and teaching, he aims to deepen the understanding of complex mathematical concepts and engage students in the rich field of mathematics.
