Biography

Deborah Baker, DNP, ACNP, NEA-BC, is the Associate Dean of Health Systems Partnership & Innovation at the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing and the Senior Vice President of Nursing at the Johns Hopkins Health System. With a focus on interprofessional education and leadership, she has developed positions that utilize her unique nursing skill set and clinical expertise. Dr. Baker also holds the role of Vice President of Nursing Patient Care Services at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Since joining Johns Hopkins Hospital in 1992, she has served in various nursing leadership roles and has contributed to education as a faculty member at the School of Nursing. Her leadership aims to enhance clinical practice environments that prioritize patient-centered care, ensuring high standards of patient quality and safety. Dr. Baker has earned her Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral degrees from the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing, emphasizing her commitment to nursing education and practice.
