Dr. Brian Shotwell

Assistant Professor

Biography

Brian Shotwell is an Associate Teaching Professor in the Department of Physics at the University of California, San Diego. He earned his Ph.D. from UC San Diego in 2015. His research primarily focuses on high-energy physics, investigating topics such as electroweak logarithms in high-energy scattering processes, and the renormalization group evolution of dimension-six baryon number violating operators. Shotwell has contributed to significant publications in the field, including works on fragmentation cut thrust predictions applicable to B-factories. His academic endeavors aim to expand understanding in theoretical physics.
