Biography

Andrew Harper, MD, is a Clinical Professor and the Associate Department Head of Clinical Care in the Department of Psychiatry at Texas A&M University Naresh K. Vashisht College of Medicine. He serves as the Psychiatry Residency Training Director at the Texas A&M Health Center in Bryan, Texas. Dr. Harper completed his medical degree at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston in 1984, followed by a Psychiatry Residency and a Child Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at the same institution. He is board certified in Psychiatry and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology. Dr. Harper has been involved in teaching resident medical students and is a member of several professional organizations, including the Houston Psychiatric Society and the Texas Society of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. He has actively participated in various educational and mentorship activities within the psychiatric community.
