Professor Ari Glogower is a nationally recognized expert in federal tax law policy. His research focuses on progressive tax theory design and economic inequality in the tax system. Glogower’s work has been published in leading general tax journals, investigating the design of capital income and wealth taxes, tax compliance concerning inequality, and the taxing power of Congress under the Constitution. He has advised policymakers on major federal tax reform proposals, and his work has been featured in national media. Currently, he is writing a book for Cambridge University Press on progressive taxation and tax compliance. Glogower joined the Northwestern Law faculty in 2022, previously teaching tax law policy at Ohio State University Moritz College of Law and at New York University School of Law. He also practiced tax law at Debevoise & Plimpton LLP in New York.
