Biography

Priyanka Goonetilleke is a Marti Family Visiting Assistant Professor at Northwestern University School of Law. She received her Bachelor of Economics (Honors Class University Medal) and LL.B. (Honors Class) from the University of Sydney, and her Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania. She joined Northwestern in 2024 following a prior academic career. Before entering academia, Goonetilleke worked at Goldman Sachs in their Sydney and London offices. Her research focuses on empirical methods concerning issues related to the criminal justice system, with her work published in various journals such as the NYU Law Review, Journal of Addiction Medicine, and Criminology & Public Policy. Areas of expertise include Criminal Justice Law and Economics.
