Biography

Nikhil Chawla is an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at Yale School of Medicine, where he provides clinical anesthesia for patients in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit. He received his medical degree from the India Institute of Medical Sciences in 2006, followed by an internship and residency at Drexel University College of Medicine/Hahnemann Hospital, completing his residency in 2013. In 2014, he completed a fellowship in Critical Care Medicine at the University of Florida and subsequently joined the faculty at Yale. He also serves as the Director of Quality & Safety for the Surgical Intensive Care Unit and is the Assistant Program Director for the Yale Anesthesiology residency program. His research interests focus on improving surgical outcomes and optimizing patient care within the critical care setting.
