Biography

Christopher Hoffman is a Professor in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Washington. He earned his PhD from Stanford University in 1996. His research interests lie primarily in the field of Probability. Throughout his academic career, Hoffman has received notable recognition, including the prestigious Simons Fellowship in 2016 and the AMS Centennial Fellowship in 2008. He teaches a variety of courses at the undergraduate level, including Differential Equations and Matrix Algebra Applications, as well as advanced topics such as Probability II and probability seminars.
