Before joining the Department of Natural Sciences, Professor Vaman Naik taught at Northeastern University in Boston and was a post-doctoral fellow at Argonne National Laboratory. He served as Chair of the Natural Sciences Department from 2005 to 2011, and has held positions as Physics Discipline Chair and Physics Advisor. His recent research efforts have focused on the investigation of magnetic nanoparticles for biomedical applications as well as Li-iron phosphates and silicates for cathode materials in renewable energy and energy storage applications.
