Thomas P. Sollecito is a Chair Professor of Oral Medicine at Penn Dental Medicine and has served in significant administrative roles including Interim Dean and Associate Dean for Academic Affairs. He is a graduate of Villanova University where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology, and later received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the University of Pennsylvania, graduating with honors. Dr. Sollecito has a robust clinical role as an Attending in Oral Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and as a Clinical Associate at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. His contributions to the field include numerous publications focusing on Oral Medicine, particularly in areas such as facial pain and treatment of medically complex dental patients. He is actively involved in dental education and serves as a reviewer for several prestigious journals. Dr. Sollecito has held leadership positions in various organizations, including serving as President of the American Academy of Oral Medicine, and he has received accolades for his contributions to dental journalism and education.
