Anna Zaret is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Law at Northwestern Pritzker School of Law and a Ph.D. candidate in Jurisprudence and Social Policy at the University of California, Berkeley School of Law. Her research investigates the relationship between law and expertise, particularly how medical scientific evidence informs criminal procedure, constitutional law, and health law. Prior to joining Northwestern, Zaret was a Fellow at the Law, Economics, and Politics Center at Berkeley Law and a clerk for Hon. Laurel Beeler in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California. Her scholarship appears in notable journals like the University of Pennsylvania Law Review and the California Law Review. She earned her J.D. magna cum laude from UC Law San Francisco, where she served as Senior Articles Editor for the UC Law Journal and received the Tobriner Social Justice Fellowship. Zaret's areas of expertise include Civil Rights, Criminal Procedure, Evidence, and Health Care Law.
