Biography

Michelle Banas, MD, is a Clinical Instructor and Clinical Coordinator in Pediatric Anesthesiology at NYU Langone Health. Specializing in both Pediatric Anesthesiology and Anesthesiology, she provides expert care for adults and children. Dr. Banas completed her medical schooling at New York Medical College in 2017, followed by a residency in Anesthesiology at New York Presbyterian - Columbia University in 2021, and a fellowship in Pediatric Anesthesiology at the same institution in 2022. She is board certified in both Pediatric Anesthesiology and Anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology. Dr. Banas's research interests include the molecular mechanisms underlying the apoptotic effects of KCNB1 K+ channel oxidation, contributing to the field of biological chemistry. She is committed to providing high-quality care and has expertise in various imaging services within the New York City area. Dr. Banas is fluent in English and actively addresses her patients' concerns to ensure a supportive healthcare experience.
