Adam Warren is a historian specializing in Latin American studies, with a focus on Peru and the Andes. He received his Ph.D. from the University of California, San Diego in 2004. His research explores the history of medicine and scientific experimentation during the late colonial and national periods in Peru, particularly how medicine and science were used to address social inequalities and frame population reform projects. Warren's notable publications include "Medicine Politics Colonial Peru: Population Growth Bourbon Reforms" and "Baptism Incision: Postmortem Cesarean Operation Spanish Empire", among others. He is actively engaged in collaborative research and co-editing volumes that connect the history of human sciences with Indigenous studies in Latin America. His teaching covers a range of topics in Latin American history, with an emphasis on comparative history, colonialism, and ethnicity.
