Paul Labossiere, P.Eng., joined the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Manitoba in 2009, after nine years at the University of Washington in Seattle. He holds dual undergraduate degrees in Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering from the University of Manitoba, and his M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder, where he specialized in fracture mechanics. Labossiere has spent six years consulting in the biomechanical field, focusing specifically on FDA regulatory compliance processes for implantable medical devices such as stents and heart valves. Currently, he serves as the Associate Dean of Professional Practice in the Price Faculty of Engineering.
