Biography

Dr. A. Baillod is an Assistant Professor and Area Department Lead in Psychiatry at the University of Saskatchewan. He provides leadership in local outpatient clinical initiatives and has been part of the department since 2014, specializing in geriatric psychiatry after completing his residency training at the University of Saskatchewan and subspecialty training at the University of Ottawa. Dr. Baillod is actively involved in clinical teaching for medical students and residents and has held medical education leadership roles over the years. He currently serves as a member of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) Specialty Committees for both Psychiatry and Geriatric Psychiatry, in addition to Co-Chairing the RCPSC Examination Committee for Geriatric Psychiatry. His clinical interests encompass the assessment and management of psychiatric conditions in older adults, including major neurocognitive disorders. He is also involved in community outreach and long-term care, as well as ECT (electroconvulsive therapy).
