Dr. Aaron Childs

Biography

Aaron Childs is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at McMaster University. He has a profound interest in the diverse applications of order statistics and statistical inference. His research primarily involves order statistics for independent non-identically distributed (I.NI.D.) random variables. This area of study is crucial for applications related to outlier accommodation, where I.NI.D. random variables provide a generalization for multiple-outlier slippage models. His expertise encompasses probability theory, statistical inference, and statistics, reflecting a robust background in analytical and theoretical frameworks. Childs has completed his Ph.D. in Statistics and has also earned a Master of Science in Mathematics and a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Mathematics from McMaster University.
