Biography

Aaron Greicius received his PhD from the University of California, Berkeley in 2007. He subsequently held a postdoctoral position at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin before joining the faculty at Loyola University Chicago. In 2018, he joined Northwestern University as a faculty member. His research focuses on Galois representations and elliptic curves. Throughout his academic career, Greicius has been recognized for his teaching abilities; he received the Nikki Kose Memorial Teaching Prize from the University of California, Berkeley in 2007 and the Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences Alumni Teaching Award in 2022.
