Dr. Aaron Kelly holds a BA (Hons) and MA in Irish Writing, and completed his PhD at Queen’s University Belfast. He was a Leverhulme Postdoctoral Fellow in Irish Scottish Literature from 2001 to 2004 before being appointed as a lecturer in September 2004. His theoretical focus includes the novel as a form, visual culture, and critiques of anti-capitalism, modernity, and postmodernity. He is currently working on a trilogy of books addressing class themes through contemporary British cinema and the history of working-class writing, as well as a monograph on globalization and neo-imperialism, which includes efforts towards the archival recovery of lost working-class classics.
