Biography

Aaron D. Levine is the Associate Dean for Research and Outreach and a professor at the Jimmy Rosalynn Carter School of Public Policy at Georgia Tech. His research focuses on the intersection of public policy and biomedical innovation, particularly in the areas of stem cells, cell therapy, and assisted reproduction. He is a key member of the leadership team for the NSF Engineering Research Center for Cell Manufacturing Technologies (CMaT), where he leads research on ethics and policy. Prior to joining Georgia Tech, Aaron was involved in multiple large grants totaling over $45 million. His professional roles have included Vice-Chair for Bioethics within the International Society for Cell & Gene Therapy’s Ethics Committee, and he completed a term on the Board of Directors for the American Society for Bioethics and Humanities in 2022. Aaron has also served as a Guest Researcher for the Division of Reproductive Health at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. He has authored works such as 'Cloning: A Beginner's Guide' and is a fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science. He completed his Ph.D. in Public Affairs at Princeton University and holds an M.Phil. from the University of Cambridge and a B.S. in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
